Located at Motukea International Port Area, Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, the project is a key national energy security initiative with a total storage capacity of 82,000 cubic meters, covering three major oil storage systems: Jet A-1 aviation kerosene, diesel and gasoline. Upon completion, the project will thoroughly resolve the domestic fuel shortage in PNG and comprehensively enhance the stable supply capacity of aviation fuel and civil oil products, carrying vital strategic significance.
As the steel plate supplier for the project, COSEE has customized and supplied structural steel plates, reinforcement plates and spare plates for fire water tanks in strict accordance with the international standards of ASTM A36 / ASTM A6. All materials fully meet the stringent requirements of overseas engineering projects for high strength, corrosion resistance and long service life.
The total supplied weight is approximately 90 tons. All steel plates feature precise dimensions and stable performance, fully satisfying the welding, forming and structural strength requirements of large vertical storage tanks.
The fire water tank is a core safety facility of the fuel depot, responsible for fire prevention and control, fire water supply and depot safety protection. The A36 carbon structural steel plates supplied by COSEE boast excellent strength, toughness and weldability, enabling stable long-term service in marine climates and high-salt-spray environments. They provide solid assurance for the structural safety, water tightness and service life of storage tanks, serving as the "fundamental framework" of the entire energy depot’s fire safety system.
From material production and process inspection to packaging and shipment, COSEE has strictly implemented the project’s Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and Third-Party Inspection (TPI) requirements, and provided a complete set of English handover documents including material certificates, manufacturing records and quality plans, realizing full-process traceability.
This cooperation once again proves COSEE’s comprehensive strength in overseas energy engineering, large storage tank materials and international standard supply, marking another benchmark project added to the company’s infrastructure material supply map in the Asia-Pacific region.
Moving forward, COSEE will continue to provide high-quality products and professional services to support the development of global energy and infrastructure, empowering the high-quality development of international projects with reliable manufacturing
